I, on the other hand, was first shown the 1904 edition of Mother Stork’s Baby Book by my mother in 2002. It was my grandmother’s baby book, filled out by my great-grandmother, granny Kistner, in the early 1900s. The illustrations, the poems, the language and my great-grandmother’s beautiful handwriting instantly entranced me. The only problem was that the book was falling apart.
